About the Player

My name is Mike and I'm 23 years old. My first taste of Final Fantasy games happened in December of 2003 with Final Fantasy X. There were so many wonders about the game that got me hooked. I picked up Final Fantasy X-2 right after I beat FFX. I really enjoyed both games. I learned of Final Fantasy XI before I was finished with FFX-2 and bought it the first chance I could. It was completely different from what I was used to, but I gave it a chance... It failed. How could this be though? I'm making a LiveJournal just for my Character. Allow me to explain.

Back then I did not know how the game was played. I didn't want to except any help and wanted to "beat" it all on my own. Leveling my first job to level 10 was fairly simple just a bit slow. However, getting past 10 was becoming a chanllange for my warrior. I kept dying in Palborough Mines. Death after painful death. So I put the game down for 2 or 3 months. Then one day I found myself extremelly bored and decided to play again. I started off for the mines and died. This time, I was raised by a red mage, who continue to destory every Quadav in sight.

I returned to Bastok (after being killed once again) and changed jobs to rdm. I started to make friends as well, which really helped me out and changed my opinion on the game. It was getting fun. Before I knew it I was level ten and in the Dunes with a party! It was so much more enjoyable to play with other players and advanance together then attempting to solo it out. I was finally moving forward. Since then, I've been hooked.

About the Character

Dyson is hume male on the Odin Server. Main job is a lvl 75 Ninja. I am currently in the HNM Linkshell called Unsent. Its a fairly large LS and I have enjoyed my stay there so far. It has changed a lot since I first joined. We've moved on from camping just HNMs. Now we do just about everything there is to do: HNMs, Kings, Sky, Sea, Dynamis, Limbus, and even Wyrnms. Wyrnms are new as we haven't defeated one yet. We got Jormy down to 18% on our last attempt but ended up wiping.

All of my jobs and levels are as follow: 75 Ranger, 75 Ninja, 63 Paladin, 62 Samurai, 37 Thief, 56 Warrior, 38 Red Mage, 18 Black Mage, 37 White Mage, 10 Monk, 8 Summoner, 6 Dragoon, 6 Beastmaster. Currently in the process of leveling both Paladin and Saurai at the same time. Hopefully I'll have them both to 75 withing a few months. Then I can hit the merits hard again.

About the LiveJournal

Basically, this LJ will just be about things that happen in the game to me. That includes all of the following: missions, rank, quest, HNMs, NMs, gil, deaths, anything that I find interesting or important. Once I figure out how to take some cool screenshots, I will also be including them. However, I'm still unsure how to take some with the chat log still showing. Eeh, I'll figure it out one day.
